Mar Mimarlık, is an architect firm, has founded in 1993 by architects who aims to catch this soul. From the first date to today, our primary goal is to design buildings with economic, value added, innovative and respectful to people.
It has a multi-faceted team comprising architects, interior designers, urban designers, engineers and consultants. Mar Mimarlık team is a group which has gained national and international project preparation experience by working with well-known Turkish construction companies and won first place in competitions held abroad. As Mar Mimarlık, we think every project has a spirit. This spirit is given to the project by the place where it’ll be built, employer’s requests, user’s objectives, budget and benefits required to be obtained from the structure.
Our mission as architects is to understand the spirit of the project and use all our professional and technical experience available to form the project in the best way possible.

Elliiki (I.T.U., 1987 ), its founding partners.

Gülfem Karaer
Gulfem Karaer was born in Ankara in 1970. She completed her undergraduate education at Istanbul Technical University, the Faculty of Architecture between 1987-1991. She has worked in Mar Mimarlık Ltd since 1993. Since 2012, she has been attending ‘Application Project’ courses as a ‘Guest Lecturer’ at Istanbul Technical University.
Osman B. Elliiki
Osman B. Elliiki was born in 1968 in Konya. He completed his undergraduate education at Istanbul Technical University, the Faculty of Architecture between 1987-1992. He has worked in Mar Mimarlık Ltd since 1993.
After completing his education at Konya Anatolian High School, he entered Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Architecture. After his undergraduate education, he completed his master’s degree in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning of the same university and was awarded the title of Urban Designer.
Since 1994, he has been continuing his professional work at Mar Mimarlık. Between 2002-2004, he gave course “Computer Aided Design” as a lecturer at Yeditepe University. .
